See the past come to life at the 25th Annual Ocklawaha River Raid Civil War Re-enactment and Living History Weekend! The weekend-long event commemorates the March 1865 Union army raid on local plantations near Ocala and the resulting skirmish with local Southern troops. This was the only battle of the Civil War to be fought in Marion County. Step back in time for a look at the 1860s as hundreds of authentic Union, Confederate, and civilian re-enactors gather from all across Florida. |
